Every designer has a side hustle, and mine is ice cream. When I moved to the rural Arkansas Delta right after graduating from college, I had more free time than ever I’d bargained for. Weekly potlucks with my new friends were a common occurrence — so I passed the time by learning how to cook. Craving ice cream one summer, I made a small batch, took it to a party, and was immediately asked why I didn’t bring more. Before I knew it, I was churning ice cream all weekend every weekend and selling it by the pint to friends and strangers alike. As an homage to the place it all started, the Clark’s brand is an embodiment of the unique spirit of the Delta – from the brandmark inspired by vintage hand-painted signs to the flavor names.
